From Phoenix Arizona “Not Written in Stone”

Let me reiterate that MONTHLY DREAM POOL WINNERS enjoy interpretations posted relatively soon after the submission of the dream.

We also want to minister to dreamers by posting interpretive comments on other dreams submitted for consideration. These will be posted at random times— days, weeks or even months later. So if you submitted a dream into the pool, continue to keep an eye out its posting.

DREAM POOL RUNNER-UPS will be taken from dreams that: follow the submission guidelines, are not too lengthy (125 word suggested), provide a platform for teaching, and include vital information (difficult to briefly define, but may include the need for information regarding people, such as their first names, relationship to the dreamer (and possibly their profession or outstanding feature).

So stay tuned for MORE of these DREAM POOL RUNNER-UPS!

In today’s post, we look at an October dream from Phoenix, Arizona.

DREAM POOL RUNNER-UP #3 from 10-11-2019

I dreamt that I saw Jesus under a big Oak Tree.

He was sitting on my left and his arm was stretch out toward me with a rock in his hand.

Jesus was holding the rock like he wanted to read it but it was blank.

Here’s my take:

Love these concise parabolic dreams, though like other dreams, can be challenging riddles to decode.

Jesus in this dream is offering you something… it is truly a good gift, even an outstanding one.

This gift is most likely in conjunction with great strength that He sees in you.

It appears he has specifically chosen you to accomplish things in his kingdom.

If your name is not “written in the book of life,” you are being called to do what’s needed to find it there.

Luke 10:20. “Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

Philippians 4:3. Yes, I ask you also, true companion, help these women, who have labored side by side with me in the gospel together with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.

If Jesus is your Lord and Savior, the Lord seems to be is calling you to adjust your priorities. Spend your time on the things that are permanent… that you may receive the eternal rewards endowed in heaven.

1 Corinthians 3:12-13. Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw— each one’s work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done.
Matthew 6:20. “But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal.”

Why you? because He designed and created you thoughtfully and with purpose. You are just the right person to accomplish what He has in mind for you! And the strength build up in you is just what the doctor ordered!

A tree is a biblical symbol. God used one in Nebuchadnezzar’s Dream to prophesy his sabbatical in as a “wild beast.” It is used in Proverbs 1:3. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.

As a universal dream element, an oak tree is a symbol of strength. The person or persons it symbolizes are most likely the dreamer, but there are other possibilities.

In this instance, I would suggest that the “rock” Jesus is looking at symbolizes permanence. We just take it from there as we seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

This dream could actually go several ways, but my above interpretive comments would be my first option.

That being said… feel free to ask questions because there are things left unsaid. Love to have your comments below!

Remember: Each of us hears from God, and each of us knows our own state of affairs. Dreamers are intended to make the best interpreters of their own dreams as they grow in understanding of the parabolic language of God.

I’m not you, but that’s my view!

Every Blessing!
